Story
Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud invites Professor C.S. Lewis to discuss the existence of God, Freud’s unique relationship with his daughter and Lewis; his unconventional relationship with his best friend’s mother. Lewis 30 years before this film in The Shadow of Earth (1993). Lewis is shown studying the Gospels when a woman who appears to be his wife calls him to bed.

What drives people to commit genocide to wipe out their own species?
Both actors (and actresses with less glamorous screen time) play intelligent philosophers grappling with something we all have to face – is there eternity? Or oblivion? There are no flying cars or superheroes, just intelligent adults grappling with serious questions. Anthony Hopkins fills his unpleasant character with minimal scenery chewing, and Matthew Goode was a pleasant surprise, maintaining his quieter character in the mental struggle.
A grown-up film (sorry, Barbie)
But the little-known story of Anna Freud is tragic and brings real emotion to the story.
